In the video above, CAPE staff Becky is evaluating Renegade at the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter.
Renegade is a 27 year old Mustang who, in his younger days, was cruelly rounded up by the US Bureau of Land Management. He was purchased by a kind man who cared for him these many years. Sadly, Renegade's guardian recently passed away. His dying wish was "please find someone to care for my horse."
Renegade is elderly and suffers from Cushing's disease. He will need lifelong medication and will require regular veterinary visits. We at CAPE are dedicated to providing him the care he needs along with love and affection from both the humans and his new family of equines.
Please consider sponsoring Renegade to help CAPE cover his medical costs: regular blood tests, medications, vet checks.
His options of a safe place to go were non-existent until CAPE stepped forward to provide him with a forever home. Thank you for all your support in making his golden years carefree.
