Shy, scared, confused. This gentle, darling nine pound terrier mix was found wandering the streets of Sacramento and brought to the Sacramento City Shelter. The wonderful staff at the shelter housed her with 7 other small dogs and she got along great with everyone. When CAPE staff evaluated her for temperament, she passed every test with flying colors. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
She is now at our dog rescue facility, Muttopia, in Santa Rosa. We will be bringing her into CAPE's Ruff and Ready program at the end of next week. If you would like any further information about this sweet, little dog, contact us at (831) 336-4695.
Prince Albert - adopted!
This young Shi tzu, male, cutie pie was adopted by a family from the Front St. Shelter in Sacramento. Three weeks later he was returned because the apartment manager where he was living gave his family an ultimatum - either you have to leave or the dog does. Sadly, Albert, the name given to him by his adoptive family, landed back in the shelter - homeless and confused again.
When CAPE staff evaluated Albert, he got an A+ on every temperament test. He LOVES people, seems to be house trained, and is ready for some serious playtime. Albert is currently at Muttopia, a facility in Santa Rosa that CAPE co-created with Compassion Without Borders, where we temporarily house rescued dogs.
