​Give animals like Benny a safe place to call home!

​14 year old Benny was brought to the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter by his guardian who could no longer care for him. Due to Benny's age and complicated medical issues, his options of a safe place to call home were very slim. Benny was suffering from severe allergies that affected his breathing, eyes, ears, and skin. His vet said, "This little guy has the worst case of allergies I have ever seen!" 

​Benny now has a home with one of CAPE's Assisted Living foster families. He has lost some of his hearing and his eye sight is fuzzy but his allergies are under control now and he is feeling so much better. Enjoy this short clip from Benny’s foster mom.
