Cici was surrendered to the Santa Cruz Shelter after her owner entered a care facility.
This sweet soul was never allowed inside the comforts of a home, never invited onto a warm lap, and given very little attention. Well, all those things are changing! Cici is learning what it feels like to be a welcomed family member in her wonderful foster home. Dogs do not hold grudges and Cici is no exception. She is more than ready to forget about the past and move forward to what awaits her in the future. Cici is good with other dogs and cats. She is thought to be around 8 years old and is a little overweight. She has had a recent dental and lab work. Her blood work might indicate a slight thyroid problem, but she is not having any symptoms at this time. Cici also limps at times, but we are hoping with shedding a few pounds this might resolve. If you are looking for a sweet, endearing, happy new friend, look no further. Cici is a gem and is ready for the next 8 years to be filled with love and happiness! “"Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way."
