In 2012 we established the CAPE Animal Sanctuary situated in the Sierra Foothills in Grass Valley, California. The sanctuary is a haven for injured, disabled and animals with special needs who have no other options for a safe place to go. Specializing in animals with disabilities, injuries or treatable medical conditions, the sanctuary can provide safety, comfort and rehabilitation to a variety of species.
CAPE's Burro Rescue program is a primary focus of our work. Meet our burros and find out about their stories by clicking here. |

“"Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way."
~ Martin Luther King, Jr
