Boo is a sweet hen who was rescued by Animal Place from an egg factory farm where she suffered, among other things, a neurological injury. While at the factory farm, she was de-beaked and lived in extreme confinement closely packed with many other hens. Now, she enjoys her many activities such as scratching in the dirt and grass, pecking at insects and chicken feed, and perching on a tree branch. Boo exhibits one remaining symptom of her injury - she sometimes walks backwards!
