![]() Tater Tot is a sweet 15 year old chihuahua who was surrendered to the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter after her senior guardian could no longer take care of her. Due to some medical issues, her chances of adoption were low. The shelter reached out to CAPE and Tater Tot was placed into one of CAPE's foster homes with plans to have her medical issues addressed before she went up for adoption. The next day the foster family contacted CAPE letting us know that they had fallen in love with Tater Tot and wanted to adopt her! Tater Tot now has a second chance with a loving family and we couldn’t be happier!
