Update: Due to her congenital hip problems and chronic pain, Rosie was in need of a femoral head ostectomy or FHO. This is a surgical procedure that aims to restore pain-free mobility to a diseased or damaged hip. Your support enabled CAPE to provide Rosie with the care she needed. Thank you!
Rosie did great with the surgery. She is taking short walks and will increase distances over the next six weeks. She is a sweet, social, fun and loving young dog who is very much looking forward to being able to run and play with her doggie pal Rufus. Rosie's foster family adores her so much that they decided to adopt her. This wonderful family is committed to helping Rosie have a happy, healthy, pain free life. “"Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way."
~ Martin Luther King, Jr
