CAPE is working with the American Wild Horse Campaign to rescue an older burro who is in a holding pen inside a Nevada prison. This burro was rounded up by the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) and pulled away from the family and herd he likely spent over twenty years with. The burro has had very little socialization with humans so he will need time to build trust. He will slowly be integrated into the rescued herd at the CAPE Animal Sanctuary. We are honored to be partnering with AWHC and CAPE’s trusted vet on this rescue mission. Stay tuned as we prepare to bring this burro to his new forever home at the CAPE Animal Sanctuary! “"Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way."
