 Stevie is living a life full of happiness at the CAPE Animal Sanctuary, but his fate could have been very different. Gertie, Stevie’s mom, was continuously bred on a goat meat farm. After complications from being overbred and a difficult pregnancy, her pelvis broke. She gave birth to triplets, one of them being Stevie. Stevie was born blind and the deep connection he had with his mother moved the owner of the meat farm to close down.
Both Gertie and Stevie came to live at the CAPE Animal Sanctuary and they’re never far apart. Their connection saved so many other lives!
