Marigold Update!❤️🐾
After Marigold was placed into CAPE’s Assisted Living program, blood work at a vet visit revealed that she has diabetes. In addition to being fully blind and having itchy skin, it was evident that Marigold was quite uncomfortable. After careful consideration, we started Marigold on costly insulin shots twice a day. Her incredible foster mom has been monitoring her closely. Marigold had another vet visit a few days ago to have her blood glucose checked. She has gained 1.1 pounds and most of her fur has grown back. The insulin is definitely improving her quality of life. Thanks to CAPE’s Assisted Living program, Marigold will live free from suffering for the rest of her life. She will have a safe, loving home and all of her care costs covered by CAPE. “"Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way."
