When Roxie’s guardian moved into a nursing home, the family worked hard to find a place for Roxie to live out her life. Roxie is a 13 year old blind dog who previously had her right eye removed. She is now in one of CAPE’s Assisted Living foster homes where she will receive all the care she needs for the rest of her life.
When Roxie woke up last Tuesday morning, her remaining eye was swollen and painful. We immediately took her to the vet for an emergency visit. After a thorough exam, Roxie went directly into surgery to have her eye removed. She has now been home for a week, healing, and feeling so much better. Whatever Roxie needs, she will have. She will be loved, cuddled and cared for. Please donate to CAPE’s Animal Medical Fund today to help animals like Roxie receive the medical care that they need. “"Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way."
