Valentina
We are sending this special alert to find a home for an incredible dog who has been through so much – Valentina. Valentina was rescued by Compassion Without Borders (CWOB) nearly five years ago after surviving a horrific injury on the streets of Juarez, Mexico.
Valentina is an amazing dog who has endured more than most of us can ever imagine. She was found five years ago in an abandoned lot in Juarez, Mexico with an injury that involved an open fracture of her front right leg and infected, broken and wounded toes on the front left foot.
Despite agonizing pain and infection, Valentina managed to survive and was struggling each day just to find food and shelter. Fortunately she was rescued. Sadly, one of her front legs had to be amputated and she is also missing the toes off of the foot from the other forelimb.
That was five years ago and Valentina has adapted beautifully. She moves around with some difficulty, but does ambulate very well and leads a happy, normal life. She has been in a home for the past five years, and we are now looking to rehome her.
Valentina would thrive in a home with another dog and prefers no cats or other small animals. She has a stroller that she adores and hops right into for longer walks and strolls.
