Cooper

Cooper is an adult male treeing walker coonhound (perhaps three years old). He is healthy, neutered, and current on routine vaccinations as well as microchipped. He was abandoned at a shelter in New Mexico. Literally minutes before he was to be "euthanized," someone rescued him. He has been living in a home for several months.
Cooper is a perfect mix of playfulness and affection. He is good on a leash, loves car rides, and is enthusiastic about anything that involves running or hiking. Cooper is smart, house trained, and eager to learn as much as you can teach him. He is friendly with most other dogs, particularly females. He would prefer to be in a home with no cats. He is great with people of all ages, including children. Cooper has been temperament evaluated at the Marin Humane Society and found to be good to excellent on all points. He would be happiest in a home where fun is defined by long romps with his people and where he can play games of tag with canine companions who are female or non-challenging males.
